ADVANTAGES OF TELEGRAM OVER WHATSAPP AND OTHER SOCIAL APPS PART 1

  Right now, when it comes to social media platforms, whatsapp is what most people are used to. But, i really want to believe many people stick to whatsapp because they are not aware of this better alternative. In this post, I will be sharing several reasons why you have to consider using Telegram instead of whatsapp.

The following are some of the advantages and benefits
of using Telegram over whatsapp:

1. Speed
 
When it comes to speed, Telegram is far better than whatsapp. It is lighter on your network and messages synchronization is faster. If you have both apps installed on your device, notice the time it takes each of this apps to synchronize their messages so that yoou can get idea of what i'm talking about.

2. Storage

Telegram uses a cloud-based type of storage. You can never lose a message on telegram just because you change phone or format your devices. No need to backup before uninstalling the app because all your messages are automatically stored in the cloud. Anything you download remains in their cloud stoage until you choose to save it in your devices, especially when you use the third party app- Telegram X

3. MultiPlatform

One of the most interesting thing about Telegram is that, you can sign in to your account in several devices at the same time! For me, I do sign in on my Tablet, phone and Pc at once. This can also be used to transfer files to yourself across these platforms.

4. Groups, Supergroups and Channels

Different from what you have on Whatsapp, in Telegram, a small group can contain 200 members. A larger group or Supergroup can accomodate 100,000 members and anybody in this groups can add another member.You can easily convert a small group to supergroup if need be. A Channel on the other hand has UNLIMITED members.

5. File Types

On Telegram, there's no restriction to the type of file you want to share with anybody. You can share Documents, Applications (Apk, Exe, iOS ...), Movies, Mp3s, just name it!
