UNIBEN STUDENTS CLAMOUR FOR ELECTION BREAK.


It was a state of uproar and outmost confusion today at one of the hostel residence in the university of Benin- UNIBEN as student could no longer contain to know that the university is not giving them break for this election.
It all started it shouts and chanting of the slogans of the two popular political parties- APC and PDP, followed by the outcry; ''give us break!!!''. The staffs of the university came around to ascertain the cause of the uproar but cannot stop the situation.
Meanwhile, the students have waited in anticipation the declaration of the university for election break but nothing was said at the time of this update.

Soldiers who liberated the Nigerian town of Damasak from Boko Haram militants on Saturday have discovered the bodies of at least 70 people, many with their throats slit.

US TROOPS WITHDREW FROM YEMEN


About 100 troops, including special forces commandos, are leaving al-Anad air base near the southern city of al-Houta, the officials said.

The city was stormed by al-Qaeda fighters on Friday, although they were later driven out by the Yemeni army.

The US military has not confirmed the evacuation.

It comes a day after suicide bombers killed at least 137 people in the capital Sanaa. Militants allied to Islamic State (IS) said they carried out the attack.

There are mounting tensions between various powerful, armed elements in Yemen, including Houthi rebels, al-Qaeda and IS.

DON'T MISLEAD CHRISTIANS: APC TO DEEPER LIFE


THE All Progressives Congress (APC) has cautioned the Deeper Life Bible Church and its General Superintendant, Pastor William Kumuyi, not to mislead Nigerians

The statement was in a reaction to the words by the Delta State overseer of the church, Senior Pastor Obinna Nkemjika, at a media briefing in Asaba.  According to the media report,the overseer had posited that a cleric, who involved himself in political activities, had engaged in mundane things and lack the vision for his pastoral calling.

I CAN NEVER FORGIVE BUHARI- ADEBANJO

Ayo Adebanjo has said that he would never be able to forgive the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, after the sins he committed against the Yoruba leaders, Punch reported.

He added that Buhari locked up all the Yoruba governors after overthrowing the Shehu Shagari government.

Adebanjo added that even as a Christian he could not forgive Buhari and urged the region to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan at the upcoming elections.

He lastly dismissed that he and other Afenifere leaders were being bribed by President Jonathan.
