YOU MAY SOON BE GETTING A STROKE FOR LATENESS TO WORK

Alhaji Lai MohammedA nationwide campaign against indiscipline, African-time syndrome and loss of social norms and values will begin before the end of the year, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed has said. Mohammed stated this on Tuesday at a strategic planning meeting he held with the chief executives of agencies and other top management staff of the ministry in Abuja.

“As I have said on several occasions, the National Orientation Agency will be in the forefront of the campaign, because it is in line with its mandate to positively change attitudes, values and behaviours. “Make no mistake about it, we need to change the way we do things in Nigeria. “It is important to let our people know that they cannot continue to

do things the same way and expect a different result. “The impending campaign must take on indiscipline, the lack of respect for time, loss of our time-tested values and generally lead to attitudinal change in such a way that there will be a paradigm shift in the way we do things. “This is also in line with my vision as Minister of Information and Culture.’’ According to him, the ministry has put enormous work into the presentations that it is about to showcase.
