Following the tragic incidence that led to the death of the UNIBEN student Awele Rita, the Student Union Government SUG of the University of Benin has declared a mass protest in the University.
All academic activities has been put to a halt in the institution. Travellers piling the Benin-Ore express way have to take another route because the trunk-A road is totally shut down.
In fact, different types of game is going on on the main road by the students at the moment.
It has been a peaceful protest all through as no damage whatsoever has been done.
