Christmas, the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ as widely acclaimed is one of the most celebrated annual festivals all over the world. Those celebrating Xmas span beyond the border of Christianity. Everybody, both the believers and traditionalist alike and sometimes muslims partake in this felicitation especially in Nigeria.
It would have been mind blowing and and a thing of joy for me that my saviour has gained so much popularity and influence seeing the whole world thronging the streets of every city, town, and villages sharing plesantries and gifts on Christmas days. However, it is quite disgusting, disheartening, Sepulchral, regretable and lugubrious that men's purpose has denied the ESSENCE of the birth of Jesus Christ.
This day is being yearly used to perpetrate the worst of evil globally, just take a look :
>Men and women drink themselves to stupor every Christmas day.
>Immorality is at a geometric progression on the day of "the Lord's birth" as men and women, boys and girls make love like dogs around the corner of every street.
>Even the sex workers celebrate Xmas in a horrific style as they try to give their customers the "best" and they also get the highest patronage and pay.
>Celebrities and movie stars are not left out as they give their fans more than what they pay for by sending their nude pictures to their fans, free as Xmas greeting cards.
>The traditionalist and Ogbonis after bowing to their gods in the morning prepare the best of dishes and send to family and friends to celebrate Christmas. Oh it's lamentable.
>Americans also celebrate Xmas though every remembrance of Christ is being wiped out of their system and every public display of Christ and his worship is being banned.
Oh, what a world of deception and idolatry! No wonder Christ says why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not the things that I said (Lk 6;46) woe unto them!... (Jude 11-13).
If Christmas is celebrated this way- a day of free sex, pornographic and nudity display, a day for the winos, a a day of atrocities and shameful display, a day of extravagances, then, we have denied the purpose of Christ birth- He came to SAVE the people from their sins and not to SOAK them in their sins. (Mt 1:21). This day should be time of sober reflection. (Titus 2:12)
With the look of things, Xmas is now nothing more than a jamboree. If you are celebrating Christmas, do you celebrate what you don't know? Is He your Lord yet? Are you free from your sins? Are you ready for his second coming? OR Are you still with the smear - stained identity soaked with subdid avaricious formalism? Are you the unwilling captive of the flesh, clothed with the paraphernalia of xtian service? Or you are still having a slavery attachments to the god of this world.
Those that celebrate Christmas in sins and to multiply sins, denying the essence, Christ will soon come and say to them "depart from me ; I never knew you... Mt 7:23
