CIGARETTE- THE KILLER ROD (A MOST READ!)

Researchers have revealed that tobacco smoking and inhalation produces a life of slavery, as well as a host of chronic, debilitating illness and ultimate death. It is sad but true that "As little as one cigarette a day, or even just inhaling the smoke from someone else's cigarette, is enough to cause a heart attack and even death", warns a report from the US Surgeon General Dr. Regina M Benjamin. Half of all long-term smokers die of tobacco related death. Staying where cigarette is smoked is dangerous, hence, no safe level. It is discovered that in every eight seconds, a human life is lost to tobacco.
"My son if sinners entice thee consent thou not", (Proverbs 1 :10).

Cigarette filters are made of cellulose which can live up to 10 years before decomposing. One stick of cigarette contains about 9mg of nicotine. The amount of nicotine in four or five cigarettes is enough to kill an adult if ingested whole. Other killer chemicals that are found in cigarette are: Ambergris, Benzene, Hydrogen-cyanide. In all, one stick of cigarette contains 7,000 chemicals out of which 70 are cancer-causing chemical compounds, while hundreds of the others are toxic components.
Tobacco is expected to claim one billion lives this century. Worldwide there are 1,529,560 reported cases of cancer, which translates to 569,490 deaths and 39% of these are caused by cigarette alone. Inhaling even the smallest amount of tobacco smoke can damage your DNA and lead to cancer. The more you are exposed, the harder it is for your body to repair the damage. Smoking also weakens the immune system thereby helping HIV to grow faster and makes it more difficult for the bodyu to respond to treatment if a smoking-linked cancer arises. In other words, there is no safe level of smoking or smoke inhaling. Tobacco smoke inflames the lining of the airways (Bronchitis) and potentially leads to chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. (COPD), a major killer in the US. The chemicals contained in cigarette also corrode blood vessels and increase the likelihood of blood clots- sure window for heart attack, cardiac arrest and stroke. Smoking is responsible for 85% of lung cancers and it is linked to number one killer-disease; cardiac disease. It affects blood-sugar causing diabetes, spurs miscarriage, low birth weight and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), COPD, DNA-defects, etc.

Despite these, one in five teenagers (13 to 15) smokes cigarettes; there are 1.1billion smokers inthe world. In China alone there are 300 million smokers consuming 1.7 trillion cigarettes a year. Worldwide, approximately 10 million cigarettes are purchased every minute. A staggering amount of money is spent in the name of DEADLY PLEASURE. Among whites, 23.5% of men and 20.6% of women smoke. Among blacks, 25.6% of men and 17.8% of women smoke. Among Hispanics, 20.7% of men and 10.7% of women smoke, 9.9%of Asian adults smoke, 24.3% of American Indian/Alaskan native adults smoke. 440,000 annual deaths are smoking-related. This amounts to 36,666 per month, 8,461 per week, 1,205 per day and 50 per hour. Worldwide, 1.1 billion are cigarette smokers.
All the tried therapies such as nicotine replacement therapy, smoking-cesaation medications, alternative therapies, support therapies, resolutions including self denial, proved abortive. All the ailments, diseases and sicknesses caused by cigarettes are practically incurable as at today. All ailments have therapies but not smoking.

Latest discovery shows that cigarette smoking is a matter of the MIND and not BODY. It chains tightly and strongly, such that its captives live deliberately or consciously against the reality of the GRAVE and irreversible consequences.

A power other than product of human effort can truly set free. The power from the cross has liberated many incarcerated souls. Your total liberation is guaranteed in Christ, the only sure therapy and cure. Receive Him and see what difference He makes.
