NAOSS SUSPEND PRESIDENT AND OTHERS FOR ALLEGED #6.5MILLION FRAUD


The Senate of the National Association of Ondo State Students, NAOSS, has suspended four officials of the association for alleged financial misappropriation.

This is contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the Senate meeting held at the
Rufus Giwa Polytechnic in Owo on August 2.

The officials suspended according to the communiqué are the president of the association, Awodola Afolayan; the secretary, Abdul-Azeez Oladotun; the financial secretary, Olaleye Olawale; and the deputy senate president, Alademehin Busuyi.

Part of the money allegedly misappropriated by the suspended officials was N1.3 million which the association received from the Ondo State scholarship board.

The students alleged that the president was only able to account for N200,000 of the sum.

The communiqué signed by Fagbemigun Israel and Adebayo Segun, Senate President and Clerk respectively was sent to the Ondo State governor, Olusegun Mimiko.
