The management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife Wednesday shut down the institution indefinitely and asked students to vacate the school within 48 hours.
This day gathered that the closing down of the university was as a result of protest embarked upon by the students of the institution in the early hours of Wednesday over the hike in the school fees.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr. Abiodun Olanrewaju,the shutting downof the school was to forestall break downof law and order.
