Health Benefits of Drinking Coffee

By

Coffee is one of the world's most popular drinks. Surprisingly, it didn't get there through its virtues, but for a couple of other reasons. If you are like most of us,you may have started drinking coffee to help stay awake and alert especially when first getting up in the morning. However, with every scientific study, hidden health benefits of drinking coffee have been reported.
When it comes to coffee, there is certainly much good news than bad news. The evidence is more profound, in fact medical experts are continually softening the positions they initially held on consuming coffee. Below are some of the top benefits that scientists think drinking coffee can provide;
Recent studies (at least 5) have shown that consuming coffee decreases the risk of mortality in both men and women of all ethnical backgrounds. A good example is a large-scale 14-year study carried out on at least 400,000 people who showed the more coffee a person drank, the lower their mortality risk. In the study, men who took 2 to 3 cups of the drink had their mortality risk reduced by 10%, while those who drank 4 to 5 cups each day had their mortality risk reduced by about 12%.
Researchers have continually linked better heart health to drinking healthy coffee. This was definitely unheard of about fifty years ago. The documentation is that the beverage considerably reduces the risk of heart disease and also reduces chances of death resulting from heart attack. For instance, a researcher called Elizabeth Motofosky, MPH, ScD, from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre and some of her colleagues confirmed that a cup of coffee is good for your heart, when taken moderately.
The beverage - coffee, has useful antioxidants that help in raising and improving cholesterol. Coffee consumption raises good HDL cholesterol at the same time lowering inflammation that may lead to heart disease. To prove this point, researchers asked coffee drinkers to increase their intake to 4 cups a day and then to 8 cups. The results? Improved ratio between bad LDL to good HDL by about 8%.
A study carried out by investigators from Cleveland Clinic's Wellness Institute and Harvard University proved that reduced risk of stroke is achieved when drinking coffee, even decaffeinated coffee. This is because of the valuable antioxidants contained in coffee. Drinking healthy coffee resulted in a 10% reduction in the risk of stroke when compared to soda, another popular drink.
Drinking coffee, especially coffee with ganoderma extract reduces the risk of various forms of cancer that include, colon, prostrate, breast, stomach, endometrial and pancreatic cancer. Ganoderma lucidum is mushroom known by the Chinese as the miraculous king of herbs. The most potent type is the organically grown and harvested form.The antioxidants, caffeic and chlorogenic, contained in coffee are what are most responsible for the benefits of consuming coffee. Over 67,000 women observed in a study demonstrated that those who took more than 4 cups of coffee a day had a 25% lower risk of endometrial cancer than those who did not take the drink.
The health benefits of coffee with 100% certified organic ganoderma extract outweighs any possible side effects of other forms of coffee out there.
