Bitter leaf is a tropical plant found in different part of the world like Africa and Asia. Its scientific name is called Vernonia amygdalina. Among the people in Nigeria, it's called by such names as Ewuro by the Yorubas, Shiwaka by the Hausas and Onugbu by the Igbos. It derives its name from its bitter taste.
Hidden inside the bitterness is a huge lot of health benefits and medicinal values, little wonder that people now refer to it as the WONDER LEAF.
